Rana University Simulates United Nations Emergency Session on Climate Change and Environmental Pollution

The event brought together students who assumed the roles of representatives from various countries, international organizations, and environmental agencies. Through structured debates and negotiations, participants examined some of the most pressing environmental challenges facing the world today, including climate change, environmental degradation, global warming, sustainable resource management, and the need for coordinated international action.

Demonstrating a high level of preparation and engagement, students presented policy positions, proposed practical solutions, negotiated resolutions, and advocated for the interests of their assigned countries. The simulation closely mirrored the procedures and dynamics of an actual United Nations session, providing participants with a realistic and immersive learning experience.

The program offered a valuable platform for students to develop and enhance essential skills in diplomacy, public speaking, negotiation, critical analysis, leadership, teamwork, and consensus-building. It also deepened their understanding of contemporary international issues and the role of multilateral institutions in addressing global challenges.

Officials from the Department of Political Science and International Relations emphasized that the initiative was designed to bridge theoretical learning with practical experience, while encouraging students to think critically, engage constructively with global issues, and cultivate a sense of responsibility as future leaders and policymakers.

Through the organization of such academic and experiential learning activities, Rana University reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the holistic development of its students, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and global perspective necessary to contribute meaningfully to both national development and international cooperation.
